What I see most often is the aftertreatment doser injector gets plugged up enough it simply won't get hot enough to do a proper regen.
That was literally just replaced in the last week. My truck has been in the shop now 5 out of the last 6 weeks for the regen crap
We see some trucks with fuel pressure that is slightly too high. There is a grey area where the pressure is too high and the ECM will not allow a regen, but yet not set a code. There is also no diagnostics for fuel pressure too high and none of our books say at what pressure the regen is aborted at. Max fuel delivery pressure is 120 psi. Max allowable aftertreatment fuel pressure 1 is about 135 psi. Any higher on either and regen will not start.
Does anyone know how long the warranty is on the Maxxforce 13? My company truck is a 2012 (272k) and just come out the shop again lol (egr cooler, valve, ect.) just kinda wanting to pinpoint when they'll trade it in or whether I should get a frequent sleepers card for a motel chain cause its gonna break again lol
There are several different warranty packages you can buy. If it had basic warranty I think that is only 3 years.
