warranty : EXT ENG, ELEC/INJ/TURBO 60/500 TO 60-MONTH/500000MILES(800000KM), 18000 HOURS ; INCLUDES ENGINE ELECTRONICE , TURBOCHARGER,WATER PUMP AND FUEL INJECTORS FOR MAXXFORCE15 .
Warranty start date :03/2013 Final :03/2018
dealer ask for 5.5000 canada dollar .
Is it ok ? Should i buy some extra warranty ? and warranty for which piece ?

Lest I digress....here is my real question.
On the problems with the 2010 to 2012 maxforce c13's...did the changes in the egr components fix the problem the engines were prone to. I see an announcement on the changes in hardware but no followups. -

My real question is...HAVE THE EGR ISSUES BEEN RESOLVED WITH THE 2010 THRU 2012 C13 MAXFORCES WITH THE NEW HARDWARE AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS AS OUTLINED IN THE DIAMOND RENEWED PROGRAM. -
No, those issues have always been core engineering problems with the whole advanced egr system. There are have been some improvements with egr valve, egr cooler cores, valve and actuators parts, but most of the 2010 generation are now coming out of warranty and no longer a concern for Navi. The improvements have helped, but too little, too late in my opinion. The 2010 generation is a terrible nightmare they just want to forget about, so re-engineering and further improvements are not going to happen.

SO THE CORE ISSUE OF BAD HARNESS ...AFFECTING THE EGR SYSTEM...AND THE EGR , VALVE AND COOLER ARE SOUND IF THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED TO UPGRADED MODELS?

They have made up harness repair kits, not complete harnesses, although changing a complete harness is possible. The harness kits are for egr valves and air control valves specifically to prevent terminal pin "fretting". As for the cooler cores and egr valves, as long as you are installing the latest part number revision, you getting the upgraded part. I see no visual different. They have improved metal material quality and strength in key areas of the egr valve to prevent shaft and valve breakage and increased the soldering thickness of the coolers so they last 400K instead of 200K. ECM software calibration is also another area of improvement with egr operating strategies. Make sure your truck has the latest ECM calibration. If you have the last 8 of your vin, I can check to see if is current or out of date.
