Hey heavy d if you're still out here got a vin number I would like you to check for me. It's cn541671. Boss has bought some of these cheap with a year warranty and I was wanting to find out what had been done. Thanks in advance.

 

Ex JB Hunt unit. Last warranty repair was mid 2014. Unit has usual repairs. Still has open recall for blower motor linear power module. EGR cooler in 2013 and EGR valve in 2012. So any of that stuff is ready to let go again. No history between 2014 and now, so I have no idea what has been done.

 

Thank you very much. I'll keep an eye on things. These things seem to be common fail points. I had a 2005 F-350 with the infamous 6.0 that cost me a bundle to keep running. Sold it to a friend (and he even still talks to me) lol and he stuck a bunch more in it between us around $16k and now it's a good running truck with the egr deleted and new heads and headstuds. I just wanted a heads up on what had been done here and it doesn't seem like much. Thanks again !!!!

Hi Heavyd. I am about to get put into a 2013 Prostar and wonder if you can run the Vin# for me. I don't know much about these trucks but I run coast to coast and any tips would be greatly appreciated in advance of pre-problem intervention and preventative maintenance.
