Prostar Cab Shocks

from my understanding the prostar uses a airbag/shock assy. as its all one unit. not sure if there is a aftermarket for it. have you checked amazon, or maybe a salvage yard?

 

Yeah, it's an integrated unit. Not difficult to R/R, although it might be a little time consuming the first couple times until yo find your groove or whatever.

 

Monroe makes a replacement Airbag/ Shock Part #66127, you can find it for sale on Amazon for $157.16, with free shipping.

 

I have searched all over the 48 states and canada but no luck finding after market, International is playing games selling cheap trucks and making money in parts, Monroe told me that International told them not sell these shocks to consumer because its a dealer part only, Automan wants to make them but they are still testing it

I'm adding this to mines next time I need shocks

 

Ive been doing some research on this issue because I needed a shock myself, got one that sounds like somebody sitting in the back corner of the bunk playing the bongo's. Monroe has apparently told Harvester that if they cant sell em to the public then they wont sell em to harvester either. My dealer had one in stock for $350 and I told them that was twice what it was worth and Id retrofit something else before I played their game. Their parts guy doesn't know what they're going to do now. He called Monroe to see if they would sell him a shock instead of going thru IH parts and they said no.lol

I'm in alberta canada. in edmonton, international wanted $850 each.

I called fort gary industries and tey have them for $480 each.

Canadian dollars....
