Why would you want to to kill someone, anyone? That should be a last resort. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Btw those cities never defunded the police, funding went up. I'm not going to argue hypotheticals. Maybe I worded my last post poorly, but if your solution to everything is to start blasting, you're going to end up doing something you regret. Admittedly this isn't something that can be fixed at an individual level.

Already answered that. Because I don’t want harmed or killed. Again, what is the first resort to a physical attack? Ask them to stop so you can go grab your phone and call 911?
Someone trying to harm or kill someone else is a mole hill?
My solution in certain situations is to kill. Yes. Absolutely. I don’t regret the life I took inside my home. Why would I?
Why didn’t you answer this question?
This one as well. What are all of these “solutions” that you have for the scenarios I gave?Kyle G. and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -
Criminal lives don’t matter.

Maybe dont put your in situations where you're being attacked? Like I said, not going to argue hypotheticals. You're assuming everyone's trying to do you harm. That there's a bad guy around every corner. If that's not fear or paranoia idk what is. But whatever, you do you. This is going nowhere.i could cite statistics, anecdotes, whatever but you'll just whine "the bad guys are mean" that's all you've been doing. Your lack of imagination isn't my problem. Take care.
-
But you worried about the guy you ask to move pulling a gun on you isn't paranoia?
-
Imagine a land where everyone is armed. Now imagine how respectful everyone would be.

Never said I was attacked. I said I was ready if it happens. Because it does happen often. Even your kind of news is reporting it.
I don’t assume anyone is trying to harm me. I assume there are bad people everywhere, well because there are.
I’m not afraid of anything. Paranoid? Nope. That is you when people don’t and won’t wear masks and get vaccinated.
So can I.
Bad guys are mean. And once again I will be prepared. Whining? Aren’t you whining about me wanting to kill an aggressor? Whining that there are other options?……..which you still haven’t stated.
What does this even mean? Play make believe that we don’t live in a crap society full of crap people?
No need to run away. It’s typical though.Val_Caldera, Kyle G. and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -
Winner.
If you cannot defend the females in your household, what happens? Others will reason that you do not deserve to keep them. They will kill you and take the females for the sex trades, and sell your sons into slavery. At least that’s the way it always goes down in history. And I do mean ALWAYS.
It would be incredibly arrogant of me to assume to tell you how to raise your kids and defend your household.Gearjammin' Penguin, Brettj3876, JoeyJunk and 3 others Thank this. -
Tazers are illegal just like mace in many cities. Something might be legal on the state level but illegal on the local level. It's all irrelevant to me anyway. It's clear many places seek to take away my right to self defense so no matter what I choose to use. Places like Baltimore, Chicago, Gary, DC etc etc will press charges on me so I'm not going to bother with something that isn't going to stop my attacker forever and help save others from future predators in the process. I'll stick with my firearms.Last edited: Feb 27, 2022

I keep an axe handy, right next to the kitchen trash bags and duct tape. As a serial killer reefer hauler, it's standard equipment I think. Fun fact: I caught a level 2 inspection this week and talked to the officer with my door open several times. The axe is right there on the cab floor next to the door in plain sight. He never even blinked at it.
I do carry a firearm 85% of the time I'm out and about at my home 20. The belt I wear every day is a steel reinforced gun belt, and nearly all my pants are a size bigger in the waist to fit a holster and a full size automatic. I leave the pistola at home when out on the big truck, but do not pass judgement on those that bring them along. Situational awareness, edged weapons within reach, and looking like a walking hate crime have served me well so far. No guarantees in life of course. I've actually been giving some thought to bringing mine along. However, recent reversal off of some of the pro-criminal politics that emerged in the past 2 years has reduced the concern a bit.
I do have a professional driver friend that got robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight at the south Dallas flying hook some years ago. He never saw it coming and it was over in under 10 seconds. A gun in his pocket wouldn't have done him any good, given the lack of situational awareness that likely invited the attack.
The thing that bothers me in debates like this is many pro2A folks see a firearm as some sort of magic crime prevention talisman. Those are the people who will likely die by their own weapon.jamespmack, Brettj3876, striker and 4 others Thank this.
