Don't need a radar detector if you are obeying the law, now do you?

You’re gonna try to get us to believe that you have NEVER looked down and noticed you’re exceeding the speed limit and breaking the law, and weren’t doing it intentionally ?
Because I’d have a hard time believing that .
Why do you think the revenue collection officers always hide right past the spot where the speed limit drops ?

You said it yourself... Just watch what you are doing.

Before I turned 18 I had at least 13 speeding tickets. There were a few more after that as well.
I've been caught in a few speed traps as well, but that was still my own fault.

Most of that was back in the day in CA when the cops didn't use radar.
Back then the CHP didn't even want - or need - radar.
They would just hide in your trunk until they were ready to nab you.

And as everyone knows, you need to be at the posted speed limit BEFORE you pass that sign.
And these days it is a bit different in most places because there is usually a sign warning you of the speed limit change well before the posted speed limit goes into effect.

No need for a radar detector if you are paying attention.

No need for a lot of things in this country, in this world, for that matter, that's what makes it so great.

To use a detector is to learn a detector.
Most that just "use" one gain no benefit in having one.
Those that have used and learned their detector not only know the way it works and receives radar and laser bands, sorting falsies from legit signal, but also allows you to see how a leo operates, both stationary and mobile.
I will use one on cross country bike and car trips while enjoying the back roads of America but haven't used one since they were outlawed nationwide in a big truck.
I did use em before that and took it down in VA and NY.
I last was ticketed in 87 in a truck and picked up 2 in the early 2000s on my sport bike out west.
    Freedom is about choice.

    Some like control
    Others don't mind being controlled.
I'm the former and you sound like the latter.
    Once again...choices.

Welcome to the Republic of Florida!!! Most local law enforcement will give you 7-8 over the posted speed limit. FHP is a different breed and absolutely generates revenue for the state.
Stay out the left lane and should be fine. People tend to be in a hurry and closer to main cities worse it is.
