His tenure as police chief saw the LMPD caught in a scandal involving two officers caught in a teen sex abuse scandal (lawsuits are still ongoing on that one). Low officer morale,the Breonna Taylor case and now the shooting of an unarmed protester was the proverbial nail in the coffin.
The mayor has had enough.

 

YOU WILL NEVER END RACISM. protesting to end racism is like protesting to end murder,rape or violence, you will never end racism just as you will never end murder, its not about blacks or whites, its about good people and bad people, if i protested against murder how far do you think i would get? there are good cops, bad cops, good white people, bad white people, good black people and bad black people, the media is what turns it into a racism thing. instead of protesting go do somthing productive or something that brings you happiness. if protesting works then i would protest protesting. lol. sure your free to protest, your just protesting against bad people, there will always be bad people. your not gonna change the beliefs of a racist. if the people of Minneapolis wanted to protest the best thing every black person in Minneapolis could do is leave Minneapolis, the city would crumble on its own, you wouldn't even have to burn it down.but trying to convince them to do that is like trying to convince a racist not to be racist.
