    i keep an approved USCG signal flare gun..when someone wants to know it is safe to get back on over, i open up my window, and shoot off a flare.....

    however, i do get a phone call from the USCG, warning me, that there is no water where i am driving and not to do that......

    so i don't shoot of an official USCG signal flare all that often now....

    Still showing my age here. I know all about PSA Flight 182. One of my friends at Edwards AFB had a relative that was one of deaths on the ground. Actually today when I see PSA I think of my health. I have my PSA levels checked 2 times a year because of some of my medications.
