Having an APU in that truck is a BIG DEAL. Unless you're one of these guys that are all "I don't need me no APU, APU is for woosies" And if you are, leave.
Anyone that's living in a truck is gonna want one, rightfully so.

I will be going to PTL instead of Swift, I hope it was the right choice!!!
-
Is PTL still paying a lot lower cpm rate for miles west of the Mississippi River? A few years ago, I was offered 40 cpm east of the river, and 30 west of it. Passed.

I was told the start for me is at .33

I wouldn't put my valued CDL to work for a company like this............

You cant go by that on everything guys! Being professional is a personal choice! You don't have to drive it, or deliver it if its unsafe! having enough testicular fortitude to stick to your guns is the real question. In the long run all of these companies do it at one time or another. Its not such an issue now as it was, but its not going away. Its the nature of the beast. I don't get the whole deal about everyone wanting or needing an APU, completely senseless! there are more things to look at maybe its because I have been around a while and see all these new drivers wanting BS things instead of the real stuff that matters. Im sorry but an APU doesn't enter into my thought process. I have worked for Swift a long time ago, at the time it worked. Now, I don't waste my time on reefer and dry vans. Find a job and stick with it, they all have flaws, they all some bad equipment. this isn't an easy industry at all, in my 23 years of it, its getting worse!

I cant say anything bad about PTL cause im not familiar with them but swift has been good to me for almost 3 yrs now and I have no desire to go anywhere else..Another thing to think about, do you think PTL will have the freight swift has? Paying more per mile means nothing if you don't get the miles...just something to think about.

That is true,no miles is no pay. Im just saying look further than the truck and stupid apu and minor stuff and look at what pays bills.
robbiecox6 Thanks this.
