I drove for PLT for several years. I live in the Rio Grande Valley and my options are not good.:biggrin_25512: Folks please do yourself a favor and find a job other than PTL. The dispatchers are rude as is most of the staff.:yes2557:The company dose not care about it's drivers. :biggrin_25512: I was also a dispatcher and know what gose on there. It dose not matter how long you have been there. What kind of job you did. You are not a person to them. As far as they are concerned you can freeze to death or die of heat exhaustion, so long as you don't go over the idle time. Granted , some of the trucks have APUs . However that dosen't help the drivers that don't. :biggrin_25512: A few drivers do well there. But they are far and few between.:biggrin_25510: To sum it up... at PTL it's mind over matter, PTL don't mind and the driver don't matter!:biggrin_25510:

I just heard on Road Dog (I think it was the Trucking #### show) that a large trucking company based out of Murray, Ky was cutting driver pay to $.30 per mile for all miles west of the Mississippi. Don't know for certain if it's PTL, but unless there's another large company based out of Murry it seems likely that this is the one.

Now I'm off to google FEMA death camps and Wal-mart Gillutines... I could use a few giggles.

I figured this day was coming. The freight rates are falling so the pay will fall also!:yes2557: Isn't Globalism great!:biggrin_2552: I just talked with another company that has dropped their pay down to .26cpm!:biggrin_2551: It reaaly dose not matter what PTL pays.:biggrin_25512: They don't run you anyway!:biggrin_25512:And just wait and seewhat happens when they finally let Mexican carriers up hear!:biggrin_2551:! THIS IS A PREVEIW!:biggrin_2555:

    :biggrin_25524:Strange.

We met an Owner-Operator who had been with Paschal for 17+ years. He had a heart attack out on the road. He said Paschal flew his wife to his side and sent another driver to deliver his load to their terminal, then take his truck home for them. Did not backcharge them for anything... Really sounded like a "bad" company... What I would like to read here is a legitimate performance rating of how they deal with drivers and owner operators.

I get the same thing from PTL all the time. I got 2 yesterday and another one today. I was wondering where they got their money to fund all this. Now I know.:mwink:
