Maybe put a jumper with power and ground to your solenoid and see if it engages
-
Make sure it's in neutral
-
Have you got an ohm meter? what is the resistance of the coil?
What are you driving with the PTO? -
Truck is at the shop. I am at home, won't see it again until tomorrow. Does your solenoid click if you give it 12 volts and a ground?
-
Mine runs a pump for a dump box.
-
No it isn’t activated by the factory switches. Truck doesn’t have factory switch on dash.
-
Solenoid is in pto unit
-
That’s what I’m trying to run. What’s the rotation of you dump pump. Clockwise or counterclockwise
-
The solenoid coil can fail. If it shorts out internally it can lose some of
the windings making it weak but not blow the fuse. Can you get a new
solenoid coil and swap it out?
