Publix Distribution

Back in the 80's, Publix was one of the best places you could ever unload.

 

I worked in the garage at that DC for about a year. The facility could definitely get crowded and messy at times . . .

 

The only Publix DC I've ever unloaded at was the grocery warehouse in Dacula, GA during my OTR days, for a ####hole that enormous they have a lot of ######## there. I've had my share of bad shippers but this dump takes the cake. On the way out I got into a heated argument with the security guard at the gate. ####ing hood rat ##### had a attitude problem after that never went back to deliver a load at that place

 

What about mdi in hickory NC that place used to take forever to unload

 

Had to deliver there once after rescuing a load from another driver who has been in an accident. The place was a three ring circus! Publix warehouses are notorious nowadays for taking their time unloading.

 

About like it’s always been. If you’re in the first group called to the door it’s not bad.

 

Lakeland has the worst lumpers in the southeast

 

I’ve been there 3 times I think. Each time at least 5hrs.

once was enough for me around 8 hours

 

The one in Orlando isn’t exactly truckers paradise either.
