I started arguing after somebody said it can't be done. Nobody said consistently. Would I drive that hard, not a chance.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25513: But when somebody says...
that its a crap story (lies)or a fish tale, then I do the math & use the same software I always use to do my pre plans. I would just fine tune it to my way of driving. It also never said in the quote about delivering Sunday, just that he was in LA on Sunday. We don't know all the details of the trip either. The driver may have loaded at 00:15 Friday & got to LA 23:55 Sunday! We don't know! So before anyone says that somebody is telling lies they should have all the details first. Don't you agree? I'm not mad at anyone or anything like that, just proving my point thats all.:biggrin_25514::biggrin_2551:

No pretrips, no fueling. Blah, blah, blah. You keep using your PC Miler, and I'll keep basing things in reality.

Basically, we're gonna have to agree to disagree.

A good 40hrs of driving. 3 pretrips(Fri, Sat, Sun), loading on Friday. fueling twice, more than likely.

Let's say he started at 4:30am, and loads and pretrips in all one shot. By 5am, he's pretripped and loaded, so including a fuel stop, he's done by 4:15pm. 10hrs off and he's up at 2:15am, pretripped by 2:45am, and gone. Driving and a fueling makes him stopped at 2pm. Midnight he's up, 12:30am Sunday he's off and running, without a fuel stop this time, he's stopped at 11:30am, and now can't pretrip until 9:30pm, and is still at least 7 hours away.

I never said he couldn't do it illegally. I said it wasn't legal to leave Friday, and be there Sunday afternoon.

Again, reality is just that, reality.

I highlighted where it was noted the driver says he was there Sunday afternoon. Even adding in that the driver may have started at 00:00, it still doesn't work legally, which is what I said originally.

I'm amazed this nonsense had grown these kind of legs--although I get a kick out of it--but I CANNOT believe y'all are actually debating this--HE DIDN"T do it Legal--ain't saying he didn't do it--because I wish I had an x-tra dollar for everytime I loaded in Cal Friday and delivered back east monday--but boy's and girls the only legal part about it was my truck and trailer tags weren't expired!--AND I'll bet after he got there Sunday and got m/t in 15 minutes at Safeway he reloaded produce B4 lunch and delivered jersey Wed@midnite!
But I did walk to school up hill both ways in the snow!

Heres what started all this. When somebody calls somebody a lier, I like to use the info given & see IF is possible. I think It IS

I think I proved that it is & really not too far away from legal.

And here is where you & I arguing should have ended. But while I was preparing a reply to somebody else, I think you read a post I made to somebody else & decided to disagree with me then again?

Again, up to this point I don't think I ever said for sure that "HE" did it legally, Just that it "could" be done legally. See the next quote below.
EDIT: I should have said LOGGED LEGALLY instead of "done legally".

    I disagree...err I mean I agree I agree.:biggrin_2559:

So why are you arguing so much? :biggrin_2551::biggrin_2559: I know you never said that, somebody else did by calling the driver in question a lier. And I'm just showing that maybe that shouldn't happen till after you have all the facts, thats all.
    Yes it is.
The reality is: that most drivers use 15 min's for pretrip on the log & maybe 30min's on fueling but 15 or less if they can.
The reality is: "some" drivers will drive faster than the speed limit if they can then stop for 8 hours & make it look like 10 hours.
The reality is: Some drivers pretrip is looking at the truck on returning from getting their morning coffee. Then jumping in the seat.
The reality is: Allot of drivers log this way.

I have included your reply's to my posts, but I still don't see anywhere where you said 00:00?
Anyway, I've done a logbook starting at midnight Friday & leaving Shipper at 01:00. From there every pretrip I used 45 min, to include fuel & pretrip before he started driving each day. All I was trying to show all along was that "YES" it can & is being done. I never once said a driver could do it legally, but I do think I've shown you how it could be LOGGED legally.
Ps: It's my birthday so I win! :yes2557::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

I never said that he did it legal either, but it can be logged as legal, IMHO:yes2557: what I was really disagreeing with was the guy calling the drivers story a lie. Been there done that too :biggrin_255::biggrin_2559:

Ok just to be clear--I do not know what anyone said when I made last post--I just was amazed it went that far!--actually I was laughing at the absurdity of everyone posting PC MILER routings and all kind of nonsense!
Just loved it--one of the most absurd posts I had seen in a long time!
Hell best I can recall to be honest all the OP said was NY hell NY is big enough to throw the whole thing off-depending on where he started--either way--the whole thing has been widely amusing--and I am still amazed it IS STILL GOING!!!!

Big Don, panhandlepat and trucker_101 Thank this.

You're right. He said NY state, and I assumed NYC. Also, I completely forgot about the timezone differences, as trucker_101 pointed out.

Only because it's your birthday, trucker_101, will I say "Okay, you win." :biggrin_25514:
