Drivers beware. During a crash slowdown yesterday I was directed to pull over by a trooper. My name and license plate were noted, no citation, for being seen taking pics of the crash with my cell phone. They had an officer specifically looking for such action. Funny because it's looky-loo people like me who slow down traffic and I hate them :) Hope I don't get a citation in the mail or CSA write-up.

How did you manage to take a pic while driving a semi and trying to stay in your lane?

since you were using your cell phone, and it is against the law to use one while driving, i think not only you, but your company will be fined.

i think you get hit with a $2,000 + fine, and your company with over a $10,000 fine.>??

i hope you can find a new job...

You might see a citation and fine, but if there was no inspection, CSA won't be a factor.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Fortunately I am my employer so I'll deal with whatever the outfall may be. Stay tuned. Oh, and I won't do it again

He just asked for my license, jotted it and my plate number down, asked me where I was headed, told me they were not issuing citations and wished me safe travels.
