I been there before and feel your pain. Usually if I'm legal on gross and over on axles I just dodge scales. If I'm over gross I want it reworked or taken off completely. My gooseneck is too much trailer for my single rear 2500 anyway. We usually end up loading that thing tail heavy as axles are set at 22ft. We put my 40 Chevy on there and ended up loading that with the rear car tires just behind the rear tandem. Still had 6200 on my drive. I'm thinking about putting 19.5s on that ram to be honest with air suspension. Its already got a 12k Dana 80. And that would at least allow me to not sweat so much over the weight. Not to mention 150k out of a set of tires instead of 30k if I'm lucky.

Having the single axle is pretty much going to make the trailer a 6 car as I heavily rely on the over hang off the front to fit 7 cars. It does have a tilt lift on the top front to maximize space but I hardly ever use it because of being able to load and unload quicker withour messing with levers. When I have weighed the pete and miller loaded ive always been in the low 20's on the back axle.
Ill have the same issue as you KT as my miller is a short neck. Also would run into the front overhang issue also. -
Do you know why Yugo's had electric rear window defrosters? So you could keep your hands warm when you were pushing them.
KANSAS TRANSIT and Speedloader Thank this. -

My partner retired a few years back. JW had 40 years in. He told hilarious stories of car hauling Yugo's off the pier. First you had to find one that started, the you roped it to three more, then you drove them in four big circles and by the time you hit 20 mph you'd better be hitting the load ramps ..... put the decks up and do it with the bottom .... loose a bumper ? Bah. Chuck it in the back seat. It's a Yugo. Dealers were all told some assembly may be required ....KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.
