Pulling doubles and parking ?????

Just my two cents....Rule #1)DON'T BACK UP IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO!! (Includes one 53'). Do a little research and I'm sure you'll find that ALOT of accidents occur while backing. Some drivers can back a 53 footer as easily as anyone else backs up their Buick Skylark. As far as backing up doubles, Rule #2...see rule #1 and multiply that by 10. I've tried it many times and I'm not an idiot. It's not about being lazy...it's about keeping your DMV, DAC, & JOB clean!!!! If you're super trucker than go for it. Perhaps you'll never scratch a thing. Most of us "human drivers" won't back a set of doubles. If you want to show off...go for it. Not me! I'm not skilled enough to back up doubles and I won't pretend to be.

 

One time I seen a ups hauling triples back into a spot at a truck stop the back row.But I think as a rule they don't park places they have to back.How often do you see double parking at night.Think most run all night.There are some designated areas for doubles and triples.

 

There is only one doubles that can be backed with an accuracy. That's because it has only 2 pivots,not 3 like most doubles. B-trains.

 

Just do what most of the freight haulers do at night--park up front and block the gas pumps--and dont even mess with tryin to get thru the night mare out back--LMAO
and if you havent done it--youd be surprised how little room you really need to park or turn a set w/a single axle daycabs--
As for the specific LCV spots--ask the poor ######## in NY or Ohio how those spots in the service plazas work for them every night --LMAO
