It's going okay. There are certain aspects of my job that I hate. Namely my coworkers and management. We spend 80 percent of our day at the dairies and at the receiver getting unloaded. There is a lot of time to spend gossiping and working the politics of this workplace. On that note , this will be a stepping stone to a real driving job.

    I hate office politics.

Lots of that when I was a Sheriff's deputy. Luckily it ain't too bad where I work, these guys gossip more than teenage girls.

Hang in there and better things will come your way

A lot of former LEOs in the trucking industry.... Anyways yeah. The main reason I became a truck driver is because I love working completely alone. I can't stand everybody being up in my business, that's for sure. There was nothing more "cleansing" than burning 500 miles a night completely by myself, on hwy 99 , Stockton to Fresno and back, twice. I miss that run but that job didn't pay and was rampant with corruption.

Anyways I give it 6 months then I'm gonna take my hazmat and my tanker experience and go haul gasoline or CO2. I got about 4 months left on this "sentence " and then a great career is in line. I'll have 2 years experience with 6 months tanker experience and a (hopefully) spotless record.

That's good. I know our company requires two years, no tanker experience required but I'm sure it would look good on an application.

The day I hit my 2 year mark is when I called the terminal manager here and he pushed my app through to corporate
