Are you sure they didnt say remanufactured or rebuilt powertrain in a new glider kit? Glider kits are exempt from having a new diesel engine with the DEF and SCR crap that kills reliability and mileage. The old engine blocks are grandfatherd in and dont have to be updated to current year specs.

daywalker do you know what the truck requirements are for o/o?
-
We didn't used to have an age restriction here @ Schneider. Technically, there still isn't one, but an electronically controlled engine is now required. The Qualcomm needs to be connected to the ECM for the e-logs to work.
-
Plus there load board is much better and they have load alerts no searching set your criteria and wait for a phone call.
They don't have trucks but you can get most trailers that you need from them I would check out step deck, also with no "fleet" average your FSC is better by far.
Ours right now average .397 just check it out pm me and I can give you a number for someone you can talk to(actual driver) K -
I was in Colorado and checked our board the whole state less then 5 loads for any certain date, the other board(LS) over 100+ loads over 40+ just in 53 van so you tell me which board will keep you moving.
I had to deadhead but got it going now loads by pay cut off;$1694,$1157,$708.
I was off from Saturday till Monday and will still gross $3500+ averaging 7.88 so far deadhead helped -

G.O.A.L.!!!!!!!! That's not my impression of that Spanish sports caster either.
Hey going to Maine maybe I will get some Clam Chowder,Lobster or something I LOVE SEAFOOD!!!
Anyway the load out is cheap but I get to drive the scenic 95 yee haw!!!
And the last amount on the end of my earlier quote was wrong(708 it's actually $1032/531 miles Baltimore,MD to Lewiston,ME actual miles 536 but who cares.
Well you all be safe and be good have a great day. -
Well I didn't get the scenic view I was looking for, the shipper in Baltimore,MD was not real speedy 13:00 appt time got out at 17:30 on a Friday.(you know traffic)
I went to the T/A about 40 miles down the road scaled, ate, took a shower waited for traffic to cool down.
I still made it to my drop in Lewiston,ME and from there to that little truck stop at exit 75 before my clock ran out(barely).
I will be dead heading a little ways but oh well I had some pretty good runs lined up ran more miles then usual.
Oh and that shipper in Baltimore was pretty tight in the dock area, I got in on the second try(used to Kroger stores;Dillon's,Bakers).
I had this guy who was behind me talking about how I should let him go first because he didn't have all day to wait on me to dock it.
OK first he went the wrong way(big sign;DO NOT ENTER), He then had turn it around in the dock area, and after ONE HOUR!!!(no B.S.) he finally got it in the door!!!
He didn't have much to say inside but said "he has only been driving for seven years", I said well at least you didn't hit anything that's all that matters.
He then said "yeah coming from a guy who has probably been here a few times and driven for 15+ years" I didn't want to "add salt" so I just laughed and walked away.
I had to weigh then go back and dock again because the weight wasn't right, kinda crazy but that's part of the job.
I'm headed home for a little quality time with the family unit you all be safe and count to ten when you need to. -
Well first time for everything; I had my load pushed out on me moved to the 1st, so I had to take a lower paying load(per mile/total) but closer to the house.
I will be at home for awhile need to look into buying this other truck and talk to a few "higher ups" about business plans.
The payments are OK but when I switch to OOIDA for insurance I want to insure the truck I will be in for awhile and this other truck is cheaper payment wise and it just had an overhaul with a full drive train warranty.
I will have to put about 1500.00 down and my payments will be around 950.00 a month for three years it does not have an APU, but I have a lead on a place that will install them for about 6k in Omaha,NE.
I won't need it this winter have a way to heat my motor and fuel without it, I like it mainly in the summer anyway.
I will keep you all informed have a great day.
