Hello all,. I am coming to the point of purchasing my own piece of equipment. I am trying to decide if I should go get a tractor and lease it to a company or look into a 1 Ton to try some RV hauling. I am trying to compare things like money to the truck and expenses, sleeping quarters ability to move around and park. As a truck driver I have been to 46 of the lower 48 states, Mexico and many distant areas of Canada. I have been near many of the national monuments and other neat sights but hauling piggybacks I could never get too close. I'd like a bit more freedom in having the 1 ton but like the idea of a bigger sleeper and the better chance for income (with the higher expense obviously). I'd like to try the 1 ton option but what do you think?
Purchase a Tractor or a 1 Ton?

Make more money with a tractor, oil field is crap so I'd wouldn't lean 1 ton

Easy.
Semi tractor.
More opportunities.
Probably cost about the same -
Buy a single axle tractor before you buy a dually, none of those pickups are made for commercial use.
beastr123 Thanks this.
