Purge valve leaking...

On an 09 S60, the intake hose for the compressor goes to the air filter housing pipe. Runs right accross the top of the valve cover. That test works great!

 

I got what ye meant, and have seen that pipe going to the air cleaner duct work.
I stopped in a FL dealer for fuel filters today and spoke to a tech there. He also said, after I said what I have replaced, the unloader valve.
Problem is, they didnt have one in stock! Will try to get one, as they did give me the part number.

Quick update, as it P's me off when folks ask questions, then leave out the fix!
Replaced the purge valve and governor, as already said.
While waiting out the fog with an OD load, I pulled the unloader valve. Everything seemed fine, so I regreased all o rings etc, and put it back in. No difference.
Got home yesterday, so figured I'd have another looksie.
My boy found 2 leaks, one at the governor to bracket, and the other at the rear line to the governor.
Fixed them both, no difference.
Then I see another contraption held in by a circlip, on the dryer body. Was actually looking for a check valve on one of the lines, but no go there.
Pulled it and it looks like the check valve, although never seen one like this one before myself.
Has an outer body with a 10mm nut inside it, and a allen head grub screw inside that. Grub screw pushes onto a plate, which in turn pushes onto a spring. Spring goes to a flat piece, that in turn seals to a machined surface inside the air dryer.
Pulled it all out, put molylube on all surfaces, and fired it up. Same result.
Then removed it and stretched the spring out a little, to put more tension on the sealing surface. Slowed it down a little.
Then fine tuned it with the grub screw, and it cured @90% of it I'd say.
Will get a new check valve kit for it, as the rubber seal does have a pretty good groove in it from trying to seal up. Makes sense to be worse when cold though, as when the rubber seal gets warmer, it would be more pliable allowing it to seal better. At least that's what I THINK
Will update when I get that in there. It's a Wabco dryer BTW. Never ran one like this myself before, so it's a learning curve...

Could be the check valve in/on the wet tank bleeding back. There's likely no dash gauge in your truck for the wet tank. So your primary and secondary tank are at 90 in the morning, but the wet tank is empty.

Hello, I have the same problem mine is 18 kenworth t680. It's builds the pressure to 120 and comes down to 100 (but will never go below 100). It does it ever 1 min and also releases the air out of the tank every minute while idling and driving. Took it to the dealership and they replaced the air dryer filter the purge valve and also fixed the air leak on the solenoid that's control air suspension. It did not fix the original issue. Any thoughts on what it could be ???
