same here, i pull hopper bottom and gravel haven't touched the regulator sense initial setup when empty its up as soon as i come off a public road it comes up. its down 99% of the time when i am loaded on public roads. with about the only exception is if part of my trip is on a per axle restricted road and another part is not and i am loaded for the weight restriction then i might run with it up on the non restricted roads if my weight allows and then drop it when i turn onto the weight restriction. but im loaded over 90k 99% of the time. unless there is weight restrictions or hauling confection flowers where you cant physically get enough in the trailer to get much over 80k

    SAR Thanks this.

Must be nice to remember how to load it so you can raise the tag lol. I pull a hopper I adjusted it when I got hammered for not having enough weight on it. About a month ago I had a load of organic corn had to run up to CB IA. 46000lbs I tore in less than 30k. 75700 gross and had to have the tag down the the whole way rolled across the scale and I was 38 on the trailer. I forgot to account for there not being a pile farther forward in the back hopper and I wasn't going to be pushing another 1500lbs onto the tractor with that tag staying up. Never fails I tell ya.

There's a couple guys up here foreigners at that seems like every other day they're ####ing with that regulator on the trailer. Idk weather they have problems with them or what but they're always adjusting it ain't never figured that one out either but to each their own. My regulator is tamper proof have to have an $8.75 key to adjust mine.
