A short section of chain will take care of that wheelwell problem on a stepdeck.

It was supposed to be a link to a pocket winch, which is not a new product. They work well over the tires of a step unless the step doesn't have pockets over the tires.

I would add those felt pads. I love using those more so than the edge protectors. I need to see if I can order some when i get home. I would also say get some blankets and rubber mats. You'll want to lay blankets on top of flat steel or coils for when you tarp. Gotta protect your traps. Dont forget gorilla tape in case you do put a little hole in a tarp

    RStewart Thanks this.

I got all the equipment you need, minus any padding material.

Message me a list with prices. My order has not shipped. I have to pick up my headache rack and dunnage rack. Not sure if they are waiting to give me everything in hand or not

winching bagged mulch stacked tall on a pallet, or stacked tires andn stuff like that all from one side will pull the load to the winch. If you can winch from both sides you can keep tall floppy loads standing tall and still get tight. Bag mulch will load shift itself just from tightening on single sided winches. Double winches can bring a load shift back upright if caught soon enough too. For bag mulch cut up 5 gallon buckets into a big radius edge protector so the strap doesnt cut through the bags. Works great.

I have drop in stake pocket winches and 4" hand ratchets. The hand ratchets are much easier when tarping over the straps as they dont leave one or two sharp and ugly looking bulges at the rub rail to work around or let wind into the bag. The hand ratchet wont protrude at all. But cinch it very tight with your winch bar before tarping since you will have to untarp to get at those if they loosen.
