    ive never had a problem, i just talk to them like i would anyone else, politely. even if you try to see it from megadicks side, theres still no excuse but how many drivers do you think pull in there with attitude even as little as hinting at how inconvenienced you are feeling? that would piss me right off i know that. i wouldnt be an ### or try to find anything end everything wrong but i probably wouldnt be in any particular hurry from that point on, or very lenient if there was a problem.

    Sorry to hear that, I'm curious what was worn? On what? Sorry I'm so dumb. Thanks. TD24.

    It was the emergency cross tubing and I have the parts and can't see anything worn on them...I forgot to show to Art in SFS but will at next shop I get to, maybe we can fight it?...

    Let me add this other gem I learned...Going thru that scale amounts to nothing less than Russian Roulette...When I was waiting to get my license along with 3 or 4 other people(meanwhile people are just rolling thru the scale<<important note), one of the pigs looked at the monitor of the inspection bays and said, we need one in #2, he walked over to the window and the very next truck, "pull to the right and go in door #2" without observing anything wrong, unluck of the draw...They were making sure all the bays stayed full without cause or reason...

    Probably nothing you can do.

    The purpose behind the inspection is up to the inspector to determine it to be a problem. If the inspector is willing to say it, then a brand new thing can be found to be faulty. Your word against theirs.

    Thats the thing, they dont need cause or reason. Chances are the number of tickets youll receieve when being pulled into the barn directly relect how the cops wife treated him that morning when he left the house. Its F'd up as hell, but its the honest truth.

    I"d like to take a poll here, how many have checked and/or regularly check their emergency cross tubings?...I've NEVER seen anyone as you have to get under the truck and more than likely lay down to do it as the guy that found it and the one that repaired it had to be...I never saw or heard of it before this...

    Even if for naught, I've decided I'm going to find out who to write to and I want to contest this entire inspection...They cost the company time and unnecessary money on something that wasn't even a safety issue, even if worn a little...It wasn't leaking, frayed, ripped, torn, missing, cracked or bulging...The windshield was more of a safety hazard and they didn't make me fix that before leaving...Plus the parts show NO wear...Taking this without a fight is perpetuating the system to me, so whether it's a waste of time or not, I'm going for it as this just isn't right and at the least, I'll feel better...

    ~~~SNIPPED~~~
    Funny thing happened to me today, I had crossed several scales and all gave me the green"Return to Highway" well in Oregon the sign said "3MPH" and I waited till the truck in front of me pulled off the scale and away a few feet, I approached the scale and it said "STOP" so I stopped then it said "Back Up" mind you I'm empty and I was reading the weight as I rolled acrossed so I knew I wasn't over weight, so
    The sign said "Proceed" and then all of a sudden it said to "Park aand bring in papers" so I'm thinking oh crap I didn't put in the fuel stop in Tacoma, So I get in there with all my stuff and the lady looks over my logs and the medical card matches me to my picture on my license etc. And says slow down coming acrossed the scales, I was thinking this but I didn't say it, "I stopped before approaching the scale so how do you want me to get on the scale if I don't speed up from being stopped" but I Thanked her and wished her a nice evening.
    Shouldn't the people working at these places have some sort of driving experience?
    Oh c'mon now... This sounds like "victim mentality". Do you really think those inspectors just have it in for truckers? They're just doing their job. Right?
