Blessed be the lord my coffee, be it ever so warm in my hands so my fingers don't burn too much. //SARCASM

I smell BS in the way they constantly harp on the coffee. If the earth was to pass away and we end up in the gates, there had better be coffee up there. So precious to truckers. I refuse to think for a minute that you can look down on the floor to set coffee down.

HOWEVER if that's what the man wants to hoist his petard on the flag of coffee whoopsies killing three and hurting others rather than say a much more dangerous and damaging charge of playing on the internet via the cell phone... Then more power to him.

I weep for such losses and tragic waste among the people hurt and killed by a trucker over a stupid cup of coffee. If our highways are that screwed up and we cannot look away for 1 #### second without killing and hurting so many in a semi truck something is seriously broken.

BAN all coffee, make it a automatic 20 year sentence if Coffee is detected in a driver or on the truck. //Satire.

Or maybe BAN all interstates. Too dangerous and not useable correctly by people who die or kill others on it. Tear em all up, go back to one horse towns and 2 lane roads 100 years ago at 30 mph. You are not going that far on the precious ELD anyway.

He had to take his eyes off the road to set down a coffee mug WTH. I’m surprised that this dillweed had enough brain power to get out of bed let alone get a cdl.

I don't know what kind of driver needs to look for a place to put his coffee down. I can find my cup holder in the pitch black on a 2 lane highway. It's always in the same place. There's no excuse for having your attention diverted long enough to not see brake lights in front of you. I hope he hangs.

Unless he left cruise control on, and get up from his seat to make fresh coffee in his bunk, I see big giant BD excuse in this crash

If everyone had driver-facing cams and you threatened drivers with automatic termination if their hands leave the 10 or 2 o'clock position on the steering wheel any time when on Line 3, then this accident wouldn't have ever happened.
