Why dont you accept responsibility for abandoning your truck? why didnt your wife let pride know whats going on? seems as if you are both more than educated to know how to communicate and use a phone to make a call........ Get over it! quit blaming others for your unableness to operate a commercial motor vehicle and move on with your life..... Pride is a good company and its not fair for you to blame them for your health issues. Steve is a fair person and treats others with respect. Bottom line: You abandoned their equipment and cost the company a lot of money

Good luck. I've read plenty of your posts to know you're not on here to bash on Pride like the previous poster believes.

    Blackadder47 and RizenPhoenix Thank this.

I'm not sweating him in the least, and it turned out that what Pride put on my DAC didn't really bother me that much. In fact it forced us to a better choice then the original one we had made. My wife and I will be driving for Knight making 8cpm more than if we would have at Central(Central refused to hire me due to the DAC.).

So in a way I guess I owe Steve a thank you. Maybe I'll get him a beer of the month subscription.

BTW producers, ever think that maybe posting my experience on this board might, just might, help some driver that read it better handle a similar situation that they may find themselve in at some future date?

    DirtyBob Thanks this.

I've been driving OTR for 5 years and have a good record. I've been with the same company for my entire 5 year career, but am looking around. Pride seems to have good new equipment, drive at a respectable speed for a company, and have a good reputation. Before I waste time being lied to by a recruiter I'd like to get some feedback from Pride drivers themselves.

I've heard they are governed at 65 is this accurate info?
Do they make you drive slower than what the truck is governed at, and do they have a "mendoza line" for mpg?
How many miles do you average a week?
What regions do they keep you in or do you go everywhere?

As for me I live in Tucson, AZ but split my home time between there, Socal, and Yakima, WA.
I'm looking for a company that runs midwest to west coast.

    Any input would be appreciated.
