problem with that idea is, you only make so make unloading and not paid by the hour. say you get $75 to unload a trailer and you take your time and take 4-5 hours to do it, not only is the so called hrly pay rate low but your probably out of hours or pretty close to it. the idea is to do it in about 2, 3 hours max. i did 300 tires last week in an hour and a half. and these were some big tires. i just had to fingerprint them to the back of the truck and there workers took them from there. it sucks but it only happens occassionally. most of the time you hire a lumper.

My figures are coming from the chart that the lady showed me at Schneider when we sat down for her to explain it, right before the test. Not saying your figures are wrong, I'm saying thiers are. We also did the test right after Lunch. so i think that had something to do with it too

i wouldn't drop it dude. evidently you are curious and now so am i. see if you can get copies of the info and we can try this again.

on a side note, if your this confused already and haven't don't it yet then you probably won't understand how they are screwing you over, if they are, so staying company is your best bet. talk to another o/o from there and see if they can explain how the pay works.

I took this test and heart rate was 160bpm doing the exercise but then dropped to 115bpm in 45 secs, they also use that monitor thing that goes on your finger, so I dont know about those things if they are good or not. they sent me home after only being there for 13 hours, I think they should have people do this in the home city then wasting EVERYONES time going there. 14 hrs on a bus then 13 hrs there then 14 hrs back home. I am almost done with the whole trucking thing, just starting out and I am already frustrated.

I think I may have figuerd out what it was she was talking about. They allow you to have up to 90% of your target HR per age.

    HR for age 47
    220-47X.9= 155.7 so lets round to 156.
    90% of 156
    156X90%= 140.4

Yea that looks like an oddly low standard for someone whos body is under physical stress at the time.

Ok Im 6' 190lb's I spend 3 to 5 hours a week in the gym just for general fitness. My warmup today was 20 min on the treadclimber my HR was 150 at the end.
    220-37X.9= 164.7 so 165
    165X90%= 148

...... Thats pretty darn close, to close IMO.

    Actually it's 220 - age X .9 or 90% of your age subtracted from 220.
That is the info from their website and what it was when I took it with them in October.
