Don't take this the wrong way, but how can someone be a driver for 33 years and not know about all the stereotypical eastern European companies that run these shady outfits in the Chicago area.
It's like you've either been living under a rock, or you just ignored all the red flags.
Sounds like you didn't get taken for any money, though. Consider yourself lucky, and move on.

I applied for CDN recently. Had a pleasant chat with the lady recruiter. You seem to like companies from Chicagoland, so this one fits the bill. MG Global Logistics and RTI hire out of that area also and seem like decent companies.

Perhaps @Chinatown can offer some employment suggestions.

 

Were they w-2 or 1099?

 

You'd think truckers would learn now about those ####cago companies.
