Looking to see if any driver in here has ran with QC, looking at running for db customs thats has there truck leased onto them. Just seeing how the loads are on there board, what kinda money can be made with them and is it worth making the switch.

I worked for Quality Carriers, but I only worked for 1 dedicated customer customer in Nashville, TN so I don't know anything else about QC but what was true in Nashville. I thought QC treated me fairly. I made good money in 2017-2020 ($75k-78k), although I'm sure nobody here would call it good money. I was a salaried company driver with brand new trucks for 2 of my 3 years.
Coloradoman Thanks this. -
QC is made of some company locations and franchise associates.
Picture a cluster of grapes.
Each is potentially the remnant of a company that franchised to stay alive and is a semi-independent organism with it's own quirks and aspect of tank transport.
And usually it's own pay structure.Numb, tscottme and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
Yes, QC, like many tanker companies, every terminal is almost an entire universe unto it's own.
Numb Thanks this. -
When I was doing training; I delivered a lot of loads that central dropped on us to keep the teams away from NYC...
They both had a strong OTR presence.Last edited: Aug 25, 2025

The "Affiliate Terminals", that is the independent franchised terminals, can and do have wildly different pay rates for both O/Os leased on and the terminals employee drivers. This includes any benefits like health insurance, and vacation/holiday pay made available to the employees.
