If my last 8 days had been wiped I would be sorely tempted to write some fiction about that 34 reset I just completed.
FrankWilma Thanks this. -
that my friend is why not having a qualcom and having large fuel tanks is always a good thing .....just sayin
-
I just checked my online records and they are all current. I also just finished a real 34.
-
Doesn't matter Frank, you still need 8 days logs on the truck. I checked my truck yesterday (I'm finishing up a 34 this morning) and found nothing had changed, my elogs are intact.

Just a curious question for those on these.
Just what kind of warning of "failure" do you get?
What if you were going into the scale and they request the logs and the "system" is down? -
Good question. I would call my DM and ask him to fax my logs to the scale. Chances are it's would not be possible.
FWIW, CA did a level 3 on me last Saturday. The CHP officer asked if I was on e-logs. When I said yes he asked questions concerning when I started my day and how much time I had on my 70. Never asked to see the readout. -
When I was at SNI and had the MCP200, in the event the system went down the lines being tallied on the HOS grid would turn red, indicating a need to transition to paper logs. Any time we had any red on the grid, we would be required to submit a paper log for that day in addition to whatever the e-log submitted, even if the outage was only five minutes.

...don't feel too bad...same thing happens with PeopleNet too...would take QC anyday...JMO...

Interesting. One time I needed a permit from the office sent to the scale house and they informed me that they do not allow use of their machine. 125.00 fine issued and payment made before leaving.
