    1) I guess it depends on how user friendly you are with newer technoloy. For me, the EOBR is much easier.

    2) LOL :biggrin_2559::biggrin_25514:

    You are right. I carry one BLANK paper log just in case the freaking box dies. And if DOT asks me if I have a paper log, I must say, "Officer, I carry one blank paper log just in case my elog doesn't work." :biggrin_25519:

    And I hide the other one that I use for my own guidance.... eventhough it doesn't have my name, no truck number, no signature, nothing, just the graph, and a few calculations :biggrin_255:

    I do the same thing. It's a requirement to have blank paper logs on board. You can actually be placed OOS without them.

    It will not turn truck off,if getting close to your 11/14 go off duty R off duty driving so no VIOLATION is noted, you can also un plug the #### thing just like the old qc,
    There is ways to get around the system, if needed, just run legal and you have no problems,

    When it came to the dot, I never had any errors found either but when it came to the company, I always had errors because since our paper logs had to be scanned in with the tripak and since most scanners ain't worth a crap for clarity, the log auditors were constantly misreading the logs and causing errors for me. With these elogs, I still get violations from time to time because its my own fault, ie, forgetting to log a pretrip/post trip, or fuel but as far as log auditor errors, that very rarely happens anymore.

    I don't know why you are struggling so much with your elog, but ours is so easy even a caveman can do it.

    Well, I used to volunteer at a computer lab and I started using this nannybox with no training and haven't made one mistake so far... Log dept said I am doing everything "PERFECT" :biggrin_2559: So, I can't say I am a computer savvy but I'm not an ignorant either... LOL

    One more thing, sometimes this nannybox freezes, or the touch screen doesn't work, and I have to remove my GPS from it's top, then do a hard shutdown and reboot the freaking thing... which is another pain in the neck.... :biggrin_25510: That's good "old" technology for you.... :biggrin_25523: With paper I never had this problem.... :biggrin_25522:

    I do hate having to do a reboot of the EOBR. I dont have that kind of patience, so I grab my paper logs and start rolling. When I park, I just go back and edit my logs on the EOBR.

    Yes, you can go Off duty driving in YOUR company not mine. I would have to contact dsp, send macro requesting line 5, wait for approval, can't have a trlr, not be under load, and must have enough time on my 11 hr.... so what good is that &*%#????:biggrin_25510:

    I would be more interested in the other ways around.... :biggrin_255:

    Wow....

    We have a line 5 at my company, which you can use any time provided you aren't loaded with freight and you don't advance towards a shipper. I hate it when a company makes up their own FMCSR's.
