This doesn't pertain to truck performance data, but more to information storage and accessibility.

I am undergoing an IRS audit for the 2010 tax year, which was the last full year I operated on paper logs. Fortunately I have the carbon copies. Just for the heck of it I decided to go here, http://search.yahoo.com/r/_ylt=A0oG...XP=1375742786/**https://login.myqualcomm.com/ , just to see how it worked, should I need to access logs for a future audit. I was dismayed to learn that I could only access the prior six months, a handy piece of information the company never bothered to share with its drivers.

So it looks like I'm screwed if I ever need this information to justify any per diem deductions for 2011 or 2012. I decided to take a proactive measure and have began printing out everything from Jan 2013 forward.

I also discovered that Verizon only keeps payment records for 18 months, therefore quashing my phone deduction for 2010. Ditto my bank, keeping check payment records for only one year. The so called paperless society we are moving into has it's downfalls, at least for somebody like me who is learning these things the hard way.
