All I need is a physical address of shipper or reciever. BYE. Show up.
Everything still gets check on paper and phone calls against DOT for the state with low bridges or what not.
Had pulled into a lot once, broke out the laptop, gps antenna, booted, found ourselves in about 20. Truck leans when bum get up on asking where we going? Lost? Nope. Beat it. WHaaaa? Then WTF? lol. See that dot? That's you. Erk....
LA? No problem. Come into the absolute craziest interchanging with me in the right seat navigating by the laptop spouse is driving smooth at 50 mph, 6 lanes on her left and 5 more to our right. We picked two more lanes over to the right prior to one of the interstate ramps and hit it right. We were picking lanes needed prior to reaching them on our laptop. Smooooth. Hit the short ramp and boom at receiver. And where the reciever was below the interstate would have seen nutting in the old ways of craning neck looking for it.
I hear today's gps stuff talks to you. No thanks.
If you really want some fun, hop on the Amtrack NE Corridor, probably the Amfleet metro high speed or the new acela. Watch your GPS struggle to leapfrog courts and dead end streets at 135 plus because it's definately programmed not to follow the actual rails as a defense from terror atttacks.
While France TGV is reaching essentially 300 mph, I don't know why we lumber along at 80 on rusted out infrastructure.

With all the laws regarding electronic devices, now and in the future, we might have to go back to using paper.

I really haven't been inconvenienced by it. If I need a message read to me I'll let "Jill do it in her monotonous droning voice .
Otherwise I just pull on my big boy pants and get on with my job. -
