I thought I had a decent shot at getting on with QC but apparently the agent has closed, or is closing the terminal nearest me. There is a "For Sale" sign out front and just one, maybe 2, trucks and trailers on the yard.

From what I understood, they had that yard to service the 1 customer in town, so I'm not sure if the customer is closing or if the the agent lost the contract to another carrier. Either way, it was a sad day when I drove by and saw the property up for sale. At one time, that was a huge yard with a boatload of trucks and trailers (that was long before the QC agent got the property).

 

Real, let me say this on the open forum. It's been on my mind for many weeks and I think now is an opportune time to say it to you.

Several months ago, I made a snarky, uncalled for comment to you on another thread. Not long after that, you sent me a very nice private message about something not related to that comment. You could have blasted me or took great offense to what I said. Instead, you took the high road and have been nothing but nice to me. That was the best thing you could have done. By being nice, you made me feel worse than any hateful comment that you could have ever made.

I owe you a sincere apology for the comment and a thanks to you for continuing to try to be helpful.

Lastly, as much as I would like to make a change in companies, I am finally committed to staying where I am for the next 2 years. That would make it 10 years with 1 employer (and 1 million safe driving miles, if I do my part) and by then, the health of my wife will have stabilized. I don't see me staying with my current company after that. I will send you a pm later.
