How long ago was that ? I don't know if QC is still doing that . All terminals are affiliate owned now .

 

A couple months ago, they have an ad about every week looking for drivers to run from Tampa to Savannah then onto the left coast and back, they also have ads every so often for a Fleece deal in conjunction with an area Feightliner dealer with used Century's.
When I interviewed with them I actually was the one that brought up the beard issue after reading ahead on the appication and seeing what training I would have to undergo, the guy interviewing had no idea what to answer, he had to call someone from another terminal to find out. That seemed a little strange to me but....
Like I said, it's no big deal, I'm glad I didn't waste their time and money doing all the work to approve me and my time going for a job I wouldn't get in the end.

 

All terminals are now independently owned, or affiliate owned as they call it. There is no longer a terminal in Tampa so I'm not sure what that could be. As for the lease purchase, each terminal is different. I run for TTL and they do not offer them and they also only do Haz-Mat and chemical loads, no food grade.

I honestly like working here but that is only because I have a dedicated run. If I had to haul whatever the terminal gave me then I don't know if I could make money with my affilate and would probably have to go find a different one. I hear Owensborro, KY is good. Also the Bristol, WI terminal is union and pays well too I've been told???

 

There is no longer a terminal in Tampa so I'm not sure what that could be.

Montgomery's headquarters was in the Tampa Area [plant city]. After the merger, by Appolo, w/ Chem Leaman the CLTL surrvivors moved to Tampa.

That may just be the corporate address.

 

Well... I've been to the yard, wasn't just offices, trucks all over the place and a shop in the back too. It's not really that important anyway.

The OP asked for info and that was my experience with them so I offered it up.
Post back on Craig's list again too for Tampa and Lakeland.

 

Not arguing with you, but the Tampa terminal closed down a few years back. They still have the parking, tank wash there and corporate as well. Not sure about the posting on Craig's list, might be a GA terminal with dedicated runs out of the FL area? I run dedicated out of central IL but my terminal is Columbus, OH of that makes any sense lol....

My dad pulls for them out of Channelview Tx, He hates dealing with Tampa, but he likes the affiliate he is working for, been there for over 25 years...

 

EVERYBODY hates dealing with Tampa . . Our terminal has the contract with ISP in Texas City . We bring our tanks to the tank wash in Channelview .
