Could someone please instruct me as to where I can purchase a really quality shielded coax?
I need an 8ft piece and I'm weary of the CB shop junk they pass off on everyone.
I've read lots of coax posts so I know there's good stuff available .... just don't know where to look.
My intention is to introduce this quality conduit and then properly tune the antenna.

My apologies if this has been addressed previously. I did a search and got no returns on my key words.

    Thanks.

General Lee/Monkey Made.. (great reception and output initially but seems to be diminishIng)

Right now on 20 in La. Normally run 70, 80, 90.. NC to WA.

I'll be in Calhoun in awhile. Working eastbound today.

It's not an urgent purchase . .. was a feeler for where do I go.

    Thx

I would just call and place an order for 20 feet, cut what you need and make a jumper with a piece.

They stand behind their product and I think this is just a branded version of good Belden cable.

If you're ever in Overland Park Kansas, Associated Radio sells Times Microwave brand coax. The same stuff the military uses on their aircraft. You can get it in quarter inch thick (LMR-240) or you can get it half inch thick. (LMR-400). You can also get it in solid and stranded versions.

RightChannelRadios.com offers a 9' RG-8X coax for $20 plus shipping... RG-8X is top of the line with 95%+ shielding..

For an 8ft run, I would be more concerned about the quality of the connectors and how well they were soldered. Truckstop cables can be pretty crappy...

I guess it's time to put things in perspective at $10 per foot....
