I thought you needed 18' of coax not 9' for a single antenna? Tell me I did not waste money on extra footage that's not needed.
Quality coax

18' of coax is recommended for single antennas! I have 18' on my mobile setup and it was just the right amount

not gonna beat lmr 400 ultaflex if you don't have the right amphenol connectors though it's worthlessrabbiporkchop Thanks this.

ok ya definitely got my attention who what where is all I want to know.

That's hardline and anyone running that in a truck, I question their mental capacity, it is such an overkill.
handlebar, rabbiporkchop and bored silly Thank this. -
well the more I've looked at it the more I believe just that. not seeing where it's going to have any flexibility to it.

Yes you wasted money on extra cable that was not needed...
By the way 18 feet of your cable is the same phase angle as 22.75 feet of my cable. All cables are different so you can't use feet when you measure cable.
I measure Cable in degrees -
I've met a few folks that use quarter inch heliax in their trucks although I've never met someone smart enough to use an air dielectric. It works great in situations where the cable will not move or get pinched. If the mirror bracket is bolted to the door that's probably not a good idea to use it but if the mirror bracket is bolted to the cab and does not move when the door opens then it's perfectly fine to use it.

Its ridiculous, it is a cb not microwave and the losses incurred don't justify it.bored silly Thanks this.
