I think that's a smart choice. While the Lone Star looks cool, the fuel efficiency of the Pro Star has to be significantly greater.
And don't they come with the Cummins ISX instead of the MaxForce?
I know they do the battery apu's... How about fridge and inverter?
Air slide 5th wheel, air bags dumps, differential lock?

So after listing out all of those reasons why people shouldn't do it, why did you do it?

I know all too well about starving out. When I first entered in the civilian side of trucking I starved for the first 6 months. I think I have finally found a way to not starve but we will see. I am waiting on my own authority to come thru and then I will buy a truck.

I'm looking into CRST lease plan but only because they want me to come in as a trainer. If it wasn't for wanting to teach people how to run in this business I would be going to atlas van lines where they pay 1.15 per mile hub miles and not rand McNally.

Fairly accurate depending on which company u decide to go with. for instance if you go with Super Service its very accurate. but if you go with Celadon only KW, international, freightliners can be chosen. just depends on the company

Elogs are now federal mandate for all companies running more than 5 trucks. if 1-4 you can legally run paper logs but have to prove you have no intentions of becoming larger.

When I filled out my paperwork to obtain my own authority the first question they asked me was if I was putting elogs into my truck and how many trucks I was going to run. I told them 1 truck only and that I was planning on having elogs and they said good. But if you are planning on having 5 or more you are required by federal law to have elogs. I just turned in my paperwork on March 22 2016.
