what those of you who don't get your bonuses are missing is the new pay increases are tied to whether or not you get your bonuses. you need to check with your dbl to see but my annual raise was tied in with getting my bonus. And if you were only getting a 300.00 bonus your miles must be low because even after taxes my bonus was always over a 1000.00 per quarter. and you say run more miles but thats if they give you the miles at 4 miles and hour and 60 hours a week average driving thats 240 miles but only if they give them to you..
Quarterly bonus?

Yea your correct I just did annual review the new pay system is going to be performance based your going to be graded. I scored a 85. If I don't like there route they choose I go by own way. U score points for using following the full stops they choose. If u have hazmat u get 5 points etc

well thats always been able to be done but if and when your dbl realizes whats being done they just credit to the driver. they're aware of these tricks as i'm sure some we haven't discovered yet.

Having base pay linked to bonus is a crock. There are drivers that have been with SNI for twice as long as I have making the same cpm.
Another problem with a bonus is that it is taxed at a much higher rate. Either way, the driver loses. Give me better base pay, smaller or no bonus.
Come to think of it, that's what I'm getting at my next position. -
Had to idle the truck last night -5 bunk heater couldn't handle it. So I guess I'll email dbl in am. Fyi thats so messed up having to email them

I'm getting about 9000-10000 paid miles per month. I want to run more but what can you do when you get a 0 mile load that kills your entire day, and then a 400 mile load to sit on all weekend? My bonus was $300 for a quarter of about 27000 miles. I probably got screwed, but then again, they're always shorting me on my checks and I have to keep complaining about getting detention pay, shorting me on short haul mileage rates, etc etc. They must have paid me .01 per mile on my bonus, it's says I got "full bonus" on my check. I don't like how they never provide any documentation or explanation about compensation rates, bonus rates, everything is a big secret with these guys.

CYA. You'll have a record of reason for idle.

What are you talking about "ask better questions"? Almost every Schneider OTR driver can only set their cruise at 60. You were fortunate to have one that runs 64. So what's your point again?
-
Might have to re-evaluate things or figure out how some of these system drivers can set their cruise at 64. I've been told that they are good buddies with the mechanic
Comments like this one, made in a previous post. "Buddies with the mechanic"? Are you serious? You think any mechanic is going to jeopardize their job to perform an unauthorized adjustment? And I contend your comment about setting the cruise on 60 is erroneous. It is, and has always been during my 4+ years, 60 on the pedal, from 62 to 64 on the cruise without any overspeed penalty.
Any time I see "I've been told", I'm automatically suspiscious.
