Sorry, that sounds petty. They wash trucks and trailers at the yard with a mobile service. But it's hard to wash something that is always moving. Meaning, the miles here are great. We did a rolling restart since we left orientation and haven't stopped. I tried to wash it at the Blue Beacon, but they will not allow a running reefer in the wash bay. As I write, we are scheduled to deliver in the AM, and already preplanned to go back to Sacramento. We are happy, that's all that matters.

Old Dominion pays their teams over 70 cpm. Would be a fool to team for less and they'll take you fresh out of school before you say you don't have much experience.

I think Old Dominion is the best right now.

The issue here is that as a new driver, my wife is not comfortable with pulling doubles, and I respect her feelings and decision. She got Hazmat, and she aced it. Maybe in the future when she has more experience we will look at that again.

First 3 weeks almost done. Had 1 rolling restart , and 1 paid layover. 3 good pay checks. Continuous running, preplanned before deliveries, no stress .
A mix of live loads and drop n hook. Can't complain. Last 6 years have been the worst in all my 26 years of driving.
Minor issues in CA, but that is expected. As I write, just dropped and heading to a p/u for a load to NC, then 3 days off .

So, after 1 month, we have put in 23k miles. They have the freight. We get preplanned way before we even get to the drop.
Now, as October closes , we are on the way to getting a bonus for all miles driven . paid out at the 15th of of Nov.
I'll take a dirty trailer for all the miles and bonuses given here. No stress, friendly office folks, and great DM's.
Quest has made a difference in how I feel about driving .

Barbee's Girl and carramrod32 Thank this.

Nov update : Great paychecks, great miles, all no hassle. This year thanks to Quest, our Christmas and New Years are awesome. I will update once more for Dec. Might be my last post here, looks like it will be the same every month. Miles galore with good pay. Happy Holidays everyone.
