I absolutely agree with every point of your post, and thank you for reinforcing my point that it is sometimes not practicable to maintain one lane (ya know, while you are button-hooking it into the oncoming left lane...or curb). You argument implies that if some genius comes barreling down the left lane that you are occupying and hits you head-on that you are at fault, right?

Well, I absolutely stay away from the "fault" thing, so let me just say that my opinion is that whenever you are not where you can legally be, you have a good chance of being held responsible if something goes wrong. There are times when you can be legally right and still held culpable, and times when you are legally wrong and not be culpable. Years ago I decided that "fault" was not near as important to me as avoidance, and it's worked out well for me.

    Best regards

YES! This is where he was - yall are awesome with the screenshots - I have a friend in Charleston who is going to get a pic of the corner - there seems to be a lot going on there with the trees, cable, lamp post and light pole The other driver whipped in that right lane as he was already turning and the end of his trailer caught her front tire & bumper Hey the rest of you guys - just stop arguing about this stuff....can't we all just get along? :)

Normally, the person that gets hit never shows up in court. That will get the accident off his record and they will drop the $200. You don't need a lawyer. They will take your money and do nothing different that you could do without the costs. Let the insurance worry about the BS but make sure they fix their car because they will be in court if they don't get everything they think is fair.

This is from south to north(other pic was north to south). Construction was going on when this pic was taken, but you can see the trees you're talking about, so I'd assume he was headed north.

10-4 on the arguing. We probably won't be able to get along though...we're truckers, we can't agree that the sky is blue.

Good luck to your husband with exonerating himself of fault. Err...culpability? Err...liability? Whatever, good luck.

Yes, please get back to writing 80+ year olds speeding tickets for going 5 mph over the speed limit during rush hour on the freeway.
