Contact your attorney and ask him. Get a copy of a company application to have as reference with him.

    He was a minor.

When you fill out an application, you sign a release giving potential employers permission to check stuff like that. Where I live, you can have certain crimes expunged, but anything on your drivers license is seperate from criminal activity and will show up. alcohol/drug offenses while driving are both criminal and administrative suspensions.

Yes, in this situation, I would "blow the deed off." To do otherwise could be considered premeditated murder. On the other hand, I have a transportation of alcohol underage charge on my record from when I was sixteen, and have always made sure to list it on my applications. Never had a problem getting hired, never been turned down for a job because of it. I also have a supplying alcohol to a minor charge from when I was nineteen, which I also list on every application. And again, I have never been turned down for a driving job because of it. I screwed up as a younger feller, and I own up to it all the time. Carriers appreciate my honesty, and will generally offer me the job, as long as my driving record is clean. That hasn't been the case, but things are finally looking up! I'll stick with the "Honesty is the best policy", since I haven't ever been bit in the butt by the truth.

he was a minor and he got license suspened for 1 month.....Sometimes you can get a dui (while a minor) and go on probation so you dont get convicted of it but your license will still automatically get suspended for about 2 months here in Texas cause I had one of those....As a matter of fact Ive had had 3 license suspensions....One for refusal to blow.....one for dui being a minor.....and one just like daniel my friend with the MIP.Ive never been convicted of a DWI,DUI,or a felony though....We both would like to work at the same company because we both got our class a cdls from the same school and they referred us to go to swift.Swift requires you must not have a lisence suspension in the previous 3 years from your application date. The DUI i got was when i was a minor but i never got convicted of it since i agreed to go on probation rather than fight it but my license still got suspended for two months anyways because its state law even if you go on probation. So I wont let swift know about that because its useless to even let them know.As far as the Breath Test Refusal goes....only the police can see that....The funny thing about it and confusing thing about is we both are clean of suspensions on our MVR's.Swift does ask if your license was ever suspended, revoked etc so I will just let them know what the deal was with that because I apparently I got convicted of the MIP.....However the MIP is not on my criminal record or mvr neither or any of the suspensions and that goes for my friend daniel as well.I also know for a fact that class C misdemeanors dont get put on your criminal record and i believe when you turn 21 or when it becomes 3 years old the MIP automatically gets purged from what i have been hearing.Basically people are not perfect and my friend and I get with other people and then we start drinking and raising hell then the cops get called and we end up with MIP(Underage Drinking) We are in good shape tho because neither of us have been convicted of a DWI,DUI,or Felony.....Sorry if I repeated myself :)

I would have to agree with brsims on this. Just disclose it, explain it. We have all been young.

Hide it, you might regret it.

    brsims and Landstar2206 Thank this.
