tucker, NavigatorWife, Captain Canuck and 2 others Thank this. -
It's true, if he parks now it'll never happen, and you'll never get the chance to read this.
I gotta go try and warn the Chinese about a real bad stampede that is going to happen in 2 and a half hours.Montgomery and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
I was there today also, very bad, lots of ice, you will not get a ticket, I have been in those kind of accidents before. do not know about the rest.
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I can't understand how ice can cause an accident. Ice doesn't cause accidents. The cause is following too close for the conditions at hand. Your truck can't stop as quickly on ice as it can on dry pavement, so next time increase your following distance.
Im sorry this happened to you, but don't point your finger. Own your mistake and take this as lesson learned, otherwise you're going to find yourself in the same situation soon.kabusheke2004 Thanks this. -
hello. 30mph isn't slow enough when you're driving on ice. everyone's a super trucker until they smash into a school bus. don't follow the crowd. truckers are way to aggressive because they're greedy, desperate and/or stupid. be safe and good luck.

My Question is
1. Since No one got a ticket from the Cop, do i get some points or accident in my MVR after mailing back the accident report?
No
2. Will the cops issue a ticket when they get the reports from both of us?
No
3. Will the company find the accident Preventable though i was at slow speed when the trailer swung
Yes, to fast for conditions, you knew the roads were bad, but were still driving.
4. Will the company post it on Dac?. No damage to Truck. Small blemish on trailer.
When you quit or are terminated, probably if they use DAC services, not all companies do.Last edited: Jan 1, 2015
kabusheke2004 and bobtrucks2204 Thank this. -
Since the trailer, loaded or empty is still heavier than most 4 wheelers, you will not feel nor hear any crash, unless perhaps, you ran up an OVER the object, or was going at break-neck speed, and the trailer goes into the opposite lanes, or brings you to a screeching halt. Someone else said that 30 mph was still too fast, for the conditions, but I wasn't there, and it could have been slower or faster than what you said. In the end, thankfully no injuries yet. That pick up truck owner has time to contact a lawyer, file a claim of injury. SO be ware of everything. Jot down as many details as you can remember, and hold onto them. Did you take pics of the damage? I didn't see in any other posting where you did.

Not only that, but your truck does have mirrors for a reason. Use them, even when you're going forward down a highway. I can't count how many hit and runs I saw simply because the driver wasn't paying attention to what was around them.
