    It was 92 here Weds, 89 yesterday and I think today we reached 87....

    I'm digging the warmer weather!

    First time usin an apu n I love it. But guess we make up our fuel by not idlin we get 5mpg at 72 mph lol

    I don't know what "real world" you are talking about. I recently switched from a truck without to a truck with an APU. No comparison. The idling was killing my fuel mileage rating, the APU barely makes a dent in it. Actually in the winter when I using the heater the APU itself hardly ever runs, the heater keeps me warm by incinerating a tiny trickle of fuel. Summer AC use will actually take more fuel, but still no contest. You're getting some false info here.

    Actually, APU stands for auxiliary power unit, not alternative power unit.
