I can not understand how you the system of registration of driving hours and rest ... especially in the case of paper records.
give unto you a practical example to understand what would happen if I stop.
suppose we have to do with a police car that stopped for a routine check, from here:
    1) you have to show records to record data on driving times and rest? I ask for them or they can read from electronic logs?
    2) If you've driven without any break and you have urinated in a bottle .. for 15 hours in three days and have observed only 12 hours of rest what are the consequences for a driver's license?
I read but can not understand this step. We in Europe have a credit card application that records driving times and rest for 28 days, all inside a microchip.
when the police stopped us we destroy the family
we have a highly stressful and burdensome bureaucratic system
In Europe we see a 45-minute break after 4 hours and 30 minutes of driving, 10 hours of driving per day in no more than 13 hours of total commitment in a day for no more than 2 times a week and days discontinuous. otherwise a maximum of 9 hours a day. no more than 90 hours every 2 weeks etc ... all regulated by an iron rule curtailment points
    thanks for your attention

Over here you would have a big fine, and be placed out of service for 72 hours, i believe. then you would have to explain to the company what happened. Don't think it would go to good for all involved.

If the officer is kind he will only give you about an $800 ticket and park you for 72 hours in a place far from any town or toilets, and you will be lucky if you have cell phone service. Good luck even getting a pizza delivered to you. If he is not nice, (like most), you may face execution.

so, I passed a selection to employe with long-haul driver in Regina, Saskatchewan, refused the assignment because working with travel companion, and over 16000 miles for gain $. I waiting an offer for single driver.
knowing the italian row in my country...i just take any offer to employement as dangerous... risk of losing the right to drive truck for loss of driver's license...so...What would you recommend considering the fact that I am a driver willing and disciplined but still unaware of what awaits me? ... in general the drivers live well or are full of trouble with the law? you have a lot to think on the job, or everything runs smoothly and problems in general to lose your driving license is not there?
I would not be regarded as the person who comes to steal your work, you know why there are calls for drivers from so far away to come to work in Canada?
Accept or negative conditions of exploitation and slave labor, summarizing, what are the consequences for the integrity of the worker and his driver's license?
is easily found work as a driver in canada? there is a long wait before finding a job right away, or there is a lot of vacancies?
    regards

i'm sorry for the many questions, i have read the forum about hos, but i don't understand how the speed and the time is logged with the data log sheet, that in the place of loading or in the traffic jam, and in other time that the truck don't travel on the road; there is no way to omit writing the data log book? you also use the magnets? and the speed is recorded or not?

The speed is not recorded. Lots of companies still do not use GPS or anything to electronically track where the truck is, only using cell phones to call the driver. The time you start your day and duty status is all written on a grid-graph, all 24 hours, in 15 minute incriments. You are required to update the line every time you change your duty status. If you are in a traffic jam, that time is supposed to be written as driving. We are required to keep receipts for fuel, tolls, and other expenses to prove that we have written down the day as it actually happened. As for the speed, it is only tracked by the time you say you went from point A to point B. If you log 1200 km in 10 hours, they are going to call you out on that and at the very east write you a speeding ticket.

Some companies are moving to an electronic log system where the driver just pushes buttons on a computer screen and it keeps track of his driving time for him. The problem is, it only accurately tracks driving time. Time spent loading and unloading is to be classified as on duty, not driving, but the device only knows that the truck is stopped. There is a myriad of issues surrounding the electronic log right now.

Sorry for the late comment on this. I have only driven for 5 1/2 years and never in to the USA... but I have tons of relatives that have been doing it for decades. They say that just like the Canadian Inspectors do not care what the American rules are, the American Inspectors care even less what the Canadian rules are. If you show Canadian HOS on a log in the USA, you may get shut down and fined. Just a maybe, but that was the intel I gathered from many cousins and uncles.

"When in Rome... do whatever the guy with the gun and badge tells you to!"

Have a good one and keep it between the lines.

Well, since I have run in the U.S., with a Canadian log book, your information is not correct.

It is FMCSA that states American drivers must always drive under US rules. It is America enforcing their own rules in a foreign country... again.
