Question about companies

Can you make money with them?

 

I worked for a temp agency one time. I was being paid more than the drivers at the companies the temp agency sent me to. I was told to not discuss pay with any drivers at those companies.

 

What I meant was can you make a living doing that and how does it work?

 

In my area the temp companies pretty much all handle the same large corporations like beverage, food, paper mills and flooring companies. It's all local work that pays by the hour with OT.

Sometimes they need a driver for one day and sometimes they need them for way longer but you need to be reliable and consistent with your availability or they'll stop calling you.

 

Yes, the pay is very good. As I posted, the temp drivers were paid more than the drivers at the companies we were sent to.

One of my high school classmates started her own temp service and drivers loved working for her. She paid really well. Sold her temp service and became a multi-millionaire.
