I am thinking about leasing my truck with CRST Malone. I live in the northeast part of Pennsylvania. Can anyone tell me if they have much freight through this area, down to the mid-atlantic area? I've seen a fairly significant amount of CRST trucks pulling vans in this area, but don't notice many flatbeds.

There are currently 25 fb loads coming out of PA on the board. Ide say half deliver in the northeast as in short hauls and the other half are for longer hauls out of the northeast.

There are two agents for PA. Crst gives you a list of agents to call when your in there area and looking for a load. If you can't find anything on the load board they told us to use this list. Also they will see your truck on their computers as well when you empty out and will call you to offer loads.

There is hardly any Malone northeast freight. There are a few more loads available coming out of western PA and Wv area consistently.
4lane Thanks this. -
What’s the average rate are you getting per mile?
-
On average $6-$8 mile, sometimes more.
I’m not a mile pounder and only do short runs.Traveling Jones Thanks this. -
How many miles do you average weekly?
-
My rate is a little higher than normal because I work for a dedicated freight agent. When I ran the load board you could average about 1.75 to 2.00$ after their cut. Roadawg is correct you can make Good money with short hauls. Ide sure hate to tarp every day though. Up in the northeast everything is tarped and they don't like to pay you for it.
Late.Rabbit, Traveling Jones and poppapump1332 Thank this.
