question about equipment

    The first box is a pyro. You don't see them much nowadays because the turbo are made better and they do not get hot like the used to. Remember the 3 mintue cool down? You might want one if you pull heavy loads up grades all the time because you can monitor the turbo temp closely with the pyro. But to me it would be just another gauge and I'd like that space for something that is more useful.

    These weren't only for big motors and most trucks without computers still need them. They were put before the turbo to keep temps from blowing up the turbo on hard pulls. Some trucks still have them and if you ignore them you will burn the blades inside your turbo.

    I'm curious...What would you put there that couldn't go somewhere else in the dash?


    I have one in mine...But it rarely gets hotter than 800 degrees or thereabouts and that's nowhere near the temps you would need to be concerned about.
