tarp pay at Prime is $25 to tarp and $25 to untarp and extra tarp pay for multi stop loads in addition to stop pay. Only getting $25 as a minimum is rare so it isn't a bad deal compared to some places that only pay you $35 to tarp everything with 8' drop lumber tarps. But some people will eat that up as the company will issue them tarps at no charge.
Hope they are in good shape. ;)

Edit: There are other things at prime to make a person say 'WTF' but I don't think this is one.

I'm guessing his reasoning is because if you pay for something you tend to take care of it.

I bet most of the tarp jobs you see with tarps flapping around and getting tore up would disappear quick if the driver had something on the line. My guess is the guys that don't care about their company tarps or equipment are the same guys complaining they don't get paid enough by their company.

That's exactly what I meant. Maybe a little incentive. If "company" drivers knew what the things they're tearing up costs they might take a little better. I act like my straps are a 30' long $10 bills

if i had to pay for that equipment working for prime. i surely wouldn't be leaving that stuff behind when i left the company.

they charged me for it. means i paid for it. and comes home with me. unless they reimbursed.

Yeah, I think it's best to keep it or sell it to someone. Prime will buy it back but it would be like selling it to a pawn shop.
