Sure is nice here at Melton getting paid to tarp. Just came off a 2250 mile tarp load with 5 stops and 5 hours detention at shipper. Fat check there!

They're paying $50 now?? I just left Melton January 22nd. I only got $40. I'm new to the driving industry, but I'm forty-two, and didn't just fall off the truck. Business is still business. Melton is a decent company, but a lot of youngsters running things in the office without experience, or understanding as to what truck drivers are presented with. If your want good training for tarping, Melton loves tarps on everything. And as they say..."it is what it is". I'm finding out real quick truck drivers usually get the short-end of the stick.

I would like to know who leftlanetruckin works for......... i think all flatbedders should be paid an awesome hourly salary for LOAD SECUREMENT. Strapping and chaining and tarping.....its ALL work that has to be done very carefully and its DANGEROUS and then nobody would be rushing through an important SAFETY function to hurry up and get to the driving part because thats where theyre making their money if they were PROPERLY being compensated for load securement.

40 dollars actually good pay for a company driver. Try doing it for 20 which I'm doing now. Lol. Melton more of a mega training company in my opinion.
