He didnt say they dont have them, he said the company keeps them confidential. All the Bol's that I have never have a price on them, but if I want to see a copy of the freight bill I can have them send me one.

Flatbed can be hard work, I personally wouldn't even tug a van around for that kind of rate, I make double what you do, and I personally know guys out there making alot more than me running a bed. If I were you I would find a new job and hit the bricks, your getting ripped off bad. goodluck.

I should have made that clearer. Of course we have the bol, but the copy we have doesnt have the rate on it. if you ask, they will tell you, but not show you the rate sheet. It all seems shady to me, so I am gonna find another job where everything is upfront, and I know what is goin on

Not sure if you said who you run for, but I pull a flatbed out of Seguin, TX. I make 25% of the load PLUS the fuel surcharge. Not alot of companies do that. There is no hiding of anything that I have seen that would affect my pay. I make almost triple what you are saying. And if I were to ask about a low pay or not as much as I had expected, we go over it right then. I can see any thing I ask for including rates.
I would start looking at other employers and do it quick. -
If u get paid on percentage they are required by federal to show u if u ask I own four trucks and if I can't produce the conf. Sheet when asked they could be legal problems brought on.. So they have to prove to you what the load pays if not get a lawyer and call dept of labor ask what ur rights are..

The trouble with percentage is that you don't get paid for deadhead, only loaded miles. If you're doing a lot of deadhead miles then that's the problem. Other than that, legal help won't do you much good unless you have a written labor contract.
As the other driver pointed out, what you are hauling also makes a difference. Not everything pays well.
Doesn't really sound like job with a future to me. But just to be fair, when the economy is going good and there is plenty of freight, percentage can be good money.
